COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner - 150ml

This clarifying toner blends gentle yet effective exfoliation with hydrating botanicals to refine skin texture without harshness. It features Apple Fruit Water (AHA) and Willow Bark Water (BHA) to softly dissolve dead skin cells and unclog pores. The formula also contains soothing agents like panthenol and allantoin to calm and comfort the skin during renewal. Lightweight and alcohol-free, it primes skin beautifully for serums and moisturisers. Over time, regular use helps brighten and even tone while controlling excess oil.

How to Use

• After cleansing, either spray directly onto the face or dispense onto a cotton pad.

• Gently wipe across skin, avoiding the eye and lip areas.

• Do not rinse — allow it to absorb fully.

• In the morning, always follow with sunscreen (SPF 30+).

• Start by using 2–3 times per week, gradually increasing as tolerated.

• If irritation occurs, reduce frequency or patch test before continuing.

Safety Precautions 

1. Patch Test Before Full Use

   Always perform a patch test on a small area (e.g. inner arm or behind the ear) before using a new product—especially if you have sensitive skin or are prone to allergies. Wait 24–48 hours to check for any reactions such as redness, itching, or irritation.

   2. Avoid Use on Broken or Irritated Skin

   Do not apply skincare or cosmetic products to areas with open wounds, rashes, eczema, or sunburn unless specifically formulated for such conditions.

   3. Check the Ingredient List

   Read the ingredient list carefully, especially if you have known sensitivities (e.g. to fragrance, essential oils, alcohol, or preservatives). Look out for active ingredients such as acids, retinoids, or vitamin C which may cause irritation when misused or combined improperly.

   4. Use Only as Directed

   Follow product instructions regarding amount, frequency, and application method. Overuse can lead to over-exfoliation, redness, or dryness, particularly with products containing AHA, BHA, or retinol.

   5. Store in a Cool, Dry Place

   Keep products away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, or humidity to maintain their stability and effectiveness. Improper storage can lead to product degradation or contamination.

   6. Avoid Contact with Eyes

   Unless the product is specifically formulated for the eye area, avoid applying near the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water.

   7. Wash Hands Before Use

   Always use clean hands or a spatula to apply products to avoid introducing bacteria into jars or tubes, which can lead to contamination and breakouts.

   8. Discontinue Use If Irritation Occurs

   If you notice stinging, excessive redness, swelling, or breakouts, stop using the product immediately and consult a healthcare professional or dermatologist if necessary.

   9. Do Not Mix Certain Actives

   Avoid layering products with conflicting active ingredients, such as:

   • Retinol + AHA/BHA

   • Vitamin C + Niacinamide (unless stabilised)

   • Benzoyl Peroxide + Retinol

   Such combinations may compromise the skin barrier or reduce effectiveness.

   10. Pay Attention to Expiry Dates

   Check the expiration date or Period After Opening (PAO) symbol. Expired products may become ineffective or cause irritation. Most skincare products should be used within 6–12 months of opening.

   11. Keep Out of Reach of Children

   Store all beauty products out of the reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion or misuse.

   12. Consult a Professional During Pregnancy or Medical Treatment

   If you are pregnant, nursing, or undergoing treatment for a skin condition, consult with a dermatologist before introducing new or potent ingredients (e.g. retinoids, salicylic acid, essential oils).
